In person or online support for the challenges in your life

I use a variety of theoretical models and tools depending on your needs

I hold a Master's degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regent's University, London. Before specialising in psychotherapy, my academic journey involved studying art history and architecture at University College London, where I earned my Bachelor's degree with honours.

While living in Paris for a number of years, I gained an MBA at Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees. Later, I added to my experience with a Master's degree in Art Business from Sotheby's and established an art gallery and consultancy in London.

My academic and professional background in art, history, and business shapes my therapeutic approach. I always try to establish context for my clients and their unique set of circumstances; I believe you cannot truly understand anything in isolation, be it physical or psychological.

With a Danish father and a German and Italian mother, I am fully bilingual in English. Having lived in five different countries, I can adapt to diverse cultures and languages, fostering empathy for the concept of feeling 'other' or different. Furthermore, I am a mother.

My diverse background equips me with a wealth of experiences to relate to, and I am dedicated to providing a supportive and understanding environment.

I am trained to work with adults (18+)

I am fully inclusive in my practice and welcome clients from all communities. I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical code. I am also a member of the UKCP.

Alongside my private practice, I work pro bono with a charity providing therapy for a self- selected fee.

Speak in a safe and comfortable space

I provide a safe, compassionate, confidential, and non-judgemental space. I can help with single, specific problems or broader, more existential issues like depression.

My additional experience

I am trained in using psychosexual approaches with systemic family therapy, to effectively contextualise issues and understand them better.

I have also undertaken further training in couples counselling, integrating coaching and psychotherapy, Polyvagal theory (the nervous system), trauma, as well as issues for former boarding school pupils, distinguishing between experiences specific to boys and girls.

Issues I can help with

Do you have anxieties, or feel you are not living your best, most meaningful life; that something is holding you back? Are there unresolved issues in your past with family, school life, friends and partners? Maybe there are aspects of your present, the 'here and now', that throws you off balance? Are you transitioning from one stage of life to another?

Or physically moving from one culture to another -job, area or country? Or perhaps find you keep repeating the same, unhelpful, patterns in life? Do you have health issues or aspects of your sexual life that need exploring?

I will meet you with an open mind and, metaphorically speaking, 'hold you' as we work through your problems. Sometimes that means compassionate holding of your problems, other times it means challenging you, to grow.

Frequently asked questions

DO I NEED TO HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THERAPY TO BENEFIT FROM IT?

No prior experience is necessary. We will start afresh, even if you had therapy before.

DO I HAVE TO PREPARE MATERIAL TO SPEAK ABOUT?

No, it is not necessary to bring anything prepared, but you are always welcome to. It is your time and you decide what we speak about. Though, I will on occasion challenge you and enquire to clarify areas.

WHAT IF I CANNOT THINK OF ANYTHING TO BRING?

It is your time, so we spend it the way you want us to. I am very happy to bring structure to the sessions, and I am always curious to know more about you.

DO I HAVE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS IF I DO NOT WANT TO?

No, again it is your space. You choose the ‘direction of travel’, the pace and it does not need to follow any timeline or model. It is all about you.

WHAT IF I WANT TO DISCUSS SOMETHING THAT IS NOT ON YOUR LIST?

You can bring anything you want and we can try to work on it together. I can always help refer you to someone with different expertise.

WHAT IF I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE MATTER IS, I JUST FEEL SOMETHING IS WRONG?

You just need to bring 'yourself'. We can explore what is going on together and locate where the feelings and conflicts/blocks are- and take it from there.
